It's Cool To Float Some Flower In The Heat Of August!

August brings some really hot weather to many parts of the U.S. This is the perfect month to find a clear glass bowl and fill it 2/3 with water and float some flowers! Flowers that are open float better than buds, so pick open rose blooms or carnations to float over buds. Alstromeria and some other lily type flowers also float well, as do gerbera daises and chrysanthemums. The monochromatic theme, such as all white or all pink or all yellow, look especially nice. Float some fresh cut flowers this month for a cool, refreshing floral look for summer.

Unexpected Containers
It's not just flowers that make a statement and lasting impression; containers can add pizzazz to petals and enhance the overall effect of bountiful, blossoming blooms. So, when it comes to putting stems in water, think in and out of the vase!
