Bridget is a Professor in the Department of Horticulture at Michigan State University. She teaches courses on horticulture marketing and management, and co-teaches the introduction to horticulture course. Bridget has conducted nearly 50 consumer & market research projects, written over 200 articles in the trade press and reference journals on horticultural market research.

She joined Michigan State University's faculty in August 1997, after serving for eight years as Assistant Professor and Associate Professor at Auburn University in Alabama. Bridget is also a member of the Ohio Florists' Association, Michigan Nursery & Landscape Association, and Michigan Florists Association, where she attained the Michigan Certified Florist designation.
